An accomplished Brazilian fighter, Rodolfo Vieira Srour competes on the BJJ circuit with GFTeam. Born in Rio De Janeiro on September 25, 1989, Rodolfo is known for his physical dominance, endurance and fast pace on the mat, showing just how diverse a fighter he really is. He is a five-time World Championship winner, and a four-time World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Cup winner.

Fondly nicknamed “The Black Belt Hunter” by BJJ fans all over the world following his victories over black belt fighters in the 2009 World Pro Cup North Brazilian trials, while still only a brown belt, Rodolfo Vieira has established himself as one of the top BJJ fighters of our time. A Heavy Weight fighter, Rodolfo competes on the circuit as a black belt. As a fan favourite, he enjoys an intense rivalry with Marcus Vinicius Oliveira de Almeida, bringing excitement and much needed hype to the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.. Following his grand outburst onto the BJJ scene in 2009, Rodolfo went on to win the World Pro Jiu Jitsu Cup Finals in Abu Dhabi in 2011, among victories in the Pan American and World Championships that same year.

He is known to favour the knee slide guard pass, Armbar and Choke from Back as his go-to positions.  Interestingly, Rodolfo only started to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to lose weight, at age 13. He then went on to join Universidade Gama filho (which would later change their name to GFTeam), in order to take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu more seriously, a testament to his competitive nature, perseverance and natural ability for the sport.

Rodolfo Vieira is mentored by Julio Cesar Pereira, the same man who awarded him his black belt. Undoubtedly one of the many factors behind Rodolfo’s success, Pereira is the leader and head coach of Grappling Fight Team. Rodolfo’s most recent main achievements include winning Gold at the Copa Pódlo and the World Championships in 2013.
